Forestry Operations Supervisor Jobs

Hampton Lumber Mills Canada has a full-time position available for an innovative and motivated individual at the Fort St. James operation. As a member of the Woodlands team, based out of Fort St. James, you will be responsible for ongoing supervision, and coordination of logging and road construction operations and other forestry-related activities to ensure the safe and timely delivery of logs to our Fort St. James sawmill

As a member of the Woodlands team, based out of Fort St. James, you will be responsidble for ongoing supervision , coordination of logging and road construction operations and other forestry related activities to ensure the safe and timely delivery of logs to our Fort St. James sawmill

• Assisting in coordinating forestry and silviculture activities
• Coordinate forestry and silviculture activities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Building / maintaining relationships with First Nation, Government, and community groups
• Contractor rate negotiations for logging and road maintenance contracts
• Implementing Hampton’s safety, environmental, and forest certification plans
• Supervision of logging, road construction, and maintenance contractors
• Implementation of Hampton's safety, environmental, and forest certification plans
• Government, community, and First Nation Liaison
• Able to work independently and in a team environment, both in the office and in the field
• Scheduling and budgeting for monthly and annual work
• Overseeing and supervising logging and road construction and maintenance contractors
• Rate negotiations for logging and road maintenance contracts
• Proven analytical, organization, and project management skills
• Monthly and annual work scheduling and corresponding budget preparation.
• Registration (or eligible for registration) as a Forest Professional with the ABCFP
• Sound understanding of what is required for safe, productive, and environmentally effective forestry operations
