Description
Aluma Systems, a BrandSafway company is currently seeking a Foreman in Bolton, ON to supervise the day to day yard operations activities of about 25 union associates within the shipping department. The successful candidate will ensure proper training of staff, prepare related reports, and will audit current procedures for improved efficiency. This is a full time, permanent position with hours from 5:30am to 3:30pm.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Works with the CSRs for any returns discrepancies and investigates the issues
• Responsible for executing production scheduling and requirements as per the Fleet Forecasting under the direction of the Yard Supervisor and Operations Manager
• Responsible for ensuring safety policies are adhered to by yard staff and will assist in executing training activities.
• Responsible for ensuring yard housekeeping is in an acceptable condition at all times and delegate/coordinate activities with yard personnel
• Responsible for supervising yard personnel specifically the shipping team including hiring and disciplinary actions as/if required
• Coordinates physical/cycle counts.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Responsible in assisting and ensuring the non-rental fleet inventory consumables are maintained and counted monthly
• Coordinates and schedules all overtime activities with the Yard Supervisor
• Coordinates and oversees the loading and unloading of customer trucks, yard to yard transfers, accurate counts, and auditing
• Manage and focus on all shipping related activities
• Responsible for ensuring yard productivity in the shipping department is maintained

Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendation for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; making recommendation for rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Ability to navigate MS Office (ie, Outlook, Excel & Word) and other software
• Knowledge of Aluma Systems products and/or forming & shoring industry highly desired
• Mathematical skills with the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to manage changing/conflicting deadlines

Education And/or Experience

• 3 years related working experience or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
