Job Description

Consequently, we are looking for a full-time Fitter who would like to join our team. This position requires shift work on days and afternoons.
Qualifications Include
  • Resolve assembly problems by notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources and information
  • Assemble material by tack welding parts to fit correctly.
  • Straightening fabrications (press/heat)
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and material lists and gathering material and tools.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed assembly.
  • Maintaining clean work area and helping in welding or other areas when needed.
  • Possess technical knowledge of welding procedures, welding materials and welding equipment by applying past experience including use of fixtures/jigs, learning company welding standards, and on the job training.
  • Operate material handling equipment (lift truck or overhead crane)
  • Layout parts and subassemblies by reading measurements. Tack weld plate/structural steel.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes required
  • Overhead crane and rigging experience required
  • MIG welding experience, basic weld symbol knowledge, and CWB tickets required
  • Saw and hand torch experience required
  • Prior experience fitting complex fabrications considered an asset
  • Blueprint reading skills required
