Job Description
Job Title: Financial Planner
Location: Canada
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Financial Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will have a personal book of business and at least 10 years of experience in financial planning.
As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning advice to clients, including investment planning, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive financial planning advice to clients
- Develop and implement investment strategies based on clients' goals and risk tolerance
- Review and monitor clients' investment portfolios to ensure they remain aligned with their goals and risk tolerance
- Prepare financial plans and reports for clients
- Provide tax planning advice to clients
- Assist clients with retirement planning, including developing retirement income strategies
- Help clients with estate planning, including developing wills and trusts
- Provide advice on risk management, including insurance and other risk mitigation strategies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in financial planning
- A personal book of business
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or Pl.Fin
- Bilingual French/English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
