Your Impact:


Crozier is looking for an experienced and highly skilled accounting professional to join our Finance team.


As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities of our organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This role plays a crucial role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.


If you have your CPA designation and experience leading a finance team, preferably in an engineering consulting or professional services environment, we’d love to hear from you.


How you will contribute to the team:


  • Lead financial forecasting and budgeting exercises.
  • Implement digital transformation initiatives to streamline financial processes.
  • Oversee the full cycle of orders to cash and procure-to-pay processes.
  • Champion revenue recognition practices and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and financial management.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Drive database management and data integration efforts.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain accounts receivable reporting and aging analysis.
  • Responsible for operational expenditures forecasting.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow projections, and optimize working capital management.


What you bring:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in team management and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing multiple systems and ensuring seamless data integration.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
  • Experience within engineering consulting or professional services industry considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in using financial software and database management tools.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong experience with ERP implementations.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role considered an asset.
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Familiarity with implementing digital transformation initiatives.
