Job Description
We are currently looking for a 2nd or 3rd Class Operator to work at a SAGD facility in the Fort McMurray area. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience and a minimum of 2 years experience as an operator in SAGD.


Operation’s Essential Requirements:


  • Insulation in place.
  • Well location ID sign in place and legible.
  • Check for standing or run off water in well pad ditches.
  • Casing vents are open
  • Submit B1 notifications for all deficiencies.
  • Check for steam / emulsion leaks on piping and fittings.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices.
  • Arrange for pumping if required (quality to be confirmed before pumping).
  • General
  • Test samples taken as per directives.
  • Injector/Producers
  • Pump drive operating smoothly
  • Each Pad should be checked 2x per shift, spaced between the shifts at 6 hour intervals – more rounds expected during upset conditions
  • A high level Unit inspection to be completed immediately after handover and just before shift change
  • Exterior lighting working.
