People define Conair and we currently have an opening for a full-time permanent Expeditor.

Reporting to the Purchasing Crew Leader, the Expeditor provides support to Buyers to ensure delivery process occurs as expected. Responsibilities include providing updated parts and inventory delivery schedules to end users in advance of any delays to allow rescheduling of work and assisting buyers in a purchasing role as required. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, (other duties may be assigned).

In this role your duties will include the following:

• Prioritize stores receiving activities daily;
• Place calls to confirm receipt of orders by vendor, verify pricing and delivery dates;
• Ability to work on-call;
• Assist in creating/updating purchasing reports;
• Notify end user and buyer of any delays in delivery;
• Other related duties as required.
• Place calls 48 to 72 hours prior to any scheduled delivery of product to confirm status of delivery;
• Update “Expediting” software with any changes to delivery date or freight tracking information;

We are looking for someone with:

• Skill in computer operations and proficient in using MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel);
• Ability to define and resolve problems quickly and satisfactorily.
• Knowledge of expediting techniques;
• Ability to deal diplomatically with people and to negotiate effectively;
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports and correspondence;
• Ability to maintain detailed records;

Training/Education:

• General office experience;
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
• Completion of Grade 12;
