Job Description

The consultant will join the Impact Climate Accelerator to support the execution of the first Environmental Advisory experiment. The consultant will primarily conduct research on Environmental Advisory, focusing on understanding the needs and preferences of SMEs, such as areas of interest, roadblocks to action, and preferred delivery format for potential future environmental advisory offerings. Additionally, the consultant might offer his expert advice on other Sustainability related topics as needed.

Duration: 10 weeks

Work time: 20-30 hours per week

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Conduct market research on Environmental Advisory programs targeting SMEs

• Develop presentation material for a menu of program options, targeting SMEs

• Interview 10-12 entrepreneurs to gather their feedback, and preferences for the different program options

• Refine program outline based on entrepreneurs/ feedback

Requirements

Professional Experience

• Five years of experience in environmental consulting

Educational Experience

• Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge and Skills

• Sustainability, Environmental and Climate expertise, including knowledge of GHG inventory and management

Soft Skills

• Ability to work in an agile environment, with a test, learn, iterate approach

• Willing to work collaboratively on solutions tailored for Canadian smes

• Capacity to innovate and think outside the box

• Commitment to fast paced, no non-sense process

Language

• Bilingual proficiency preferred
