Your Role:
As Development Team Lead you will lead developers on a full stack team (React and Java) working on infrastructure and web apps that support AI enabled solutions. You will contribute to and help guide your team to deliver products that are used by tens of thousands of users globally to enhance business efficiency, from detecting fraudulent behaviors to spotting insider threats.
As a technical lead, you will be involved in and oversee the entire SDLC process, including design, code review, implementation, testing, and deployment of applications and services. As a people manager, you will contribute to and participate in 1:1s, performance reviews, and team member development.
Working with product management and architects, you will also help define and drive the vision for the team’s product initiatives.
Your Job:

• Work with Product Management to define requirements and work items for the team and to ensure the team is delivering an accurate product as well as meeting defined schedules
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team to help translate mock-ups into functioning web applications that are accessible and responsive with exceptional usability
• Manage 4 to 6 developers, including performance management and career development
• Work with Test Lead to determine and prioritize the requirements for test automation as well as providing feedback on test plans
• Take ownership of the team's deliverables and product quality
• Instill a spirit of continuous improvement in the team’s code, architecture, and processes
• Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile artifacts
• Utilize Agile principles and best practices to help drive the team to successful outcomes
• Lead a team of developers to deliver fully-interactive, single-page style web applications, including contributing to writing code yourself
• Delegate work effectively to team members and instill a collaborative work culture to get work done as a team
• Produce design artifacts and spikes and provide architectural guidance relating to features being worked on

About You:

• Demonstrated track record of delivering a sizable project from technical design to being deployed and running in production
• Java, C#, Python, C++
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices in writing code, design, and architecture, especially with frontend development
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Typescript
• Good understanding of, or experience with building microservices
• Web service API development
• Experience working on and delivering enterprise grade software in an Agile environment, specifically web applications utilizing web service APIs.
• Strong experience with React.js, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS 3 and related web technologies like Sass/Less, AJAX and JSON
• Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Selenium, Playwright
• Continuous integration systems like Jenkins
• Understanding of network protocols such as HTTP, TLS, TCP
• JavaScript frameworks, such as ExtJS, Angular or Vue.js
• Micro Frontends
• Containerization technologies like Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes
• People management and leadership experience, overseeing 1 to 3 Developers
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
• Experience writing functional tests using web testing frameworks
• GraphQL
• Unit testing with Mocha or Jasmine/Jest
