Roles & Responsibilities

• Presents technical findings and developments
• As part of development performs unit testing to ensure delivery quality
• Develops software
• Adheres to the software development process through the execution of module, subsystem and system test procedures.
• Reviews relevant requirements, standards and other documentation to clarify and understand software engineering requirements
• Estimates own work and provides such estimates to Team Leader or Project Manager
• Participates actively in both hardware and software component selection

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Strong experience in developing and integrating / modifying opensource projects (OSS)
• Strong programming skills in C / C++ and scripting with Bash in a Linux environment
• Experience developing with POSIX threads
• Experience with any of the following technologies / protocols: NTP, DHCP, RADIUS, TACACS+, MPLS
• 5+ years of experience developing software in Linux environment for embedded applications
• Experience working with Yocto based Linux distributions
• Experience debugging using hardware debuggers and GDB
• Has an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer / Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related disciplines
• Understanding of OS thread scheduling and IPC
• Experience with or working knowledge of TCP/IP socket programming and L3 protocols such as dynamic DNS, RIP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, etc.,
