Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Draftsperson located in Toronto, Ontario The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting electrical designs and creating electrical drawings using Microstation software. The role requires a thorough understanding of electrical engineering principles, knowledge of industry standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team.
Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Create electrical drawings using Microstation software.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on electrical designs and drawings.
• Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that designs are completed on time and within budget.
• Develop electrical designs based on specifications provided by the Electrical Engineer or project team.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide support to Electrical Engineers as required.
• Revise and modify existing drawings to incorporate changes based on feedback from the team.
• Ensure that all drawings are accurate, detailed, and conform to industry standards.

Education Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.

Work Experience Requirements

• Experience in distribution system design is considered an asset
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical drafting using Microstation software.

Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to create accurate, detailed drawings.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
• Microstation
• Knowledge of industry standards for electrical drafting and design.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in using Microstation software to create electrical drawings.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team.
