This is a 2-year development program that transitions into a full-time, permanent role.

What The Day Will Look Like

• Supporting the management of an insurance portfolio;
• Demonstrating and sharing the importance of best practices; and performing other related duties as assigned.
• Following up with insurer to confirm terms of contract are met;
• Analyzing client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements; preparing and communicating marketing proposals for renewals and new business;
• Establishing, and maintaining positive relationships with the underwriting community for the ultimate benefit of the client;
• Business development support;
• Verifying all policies and documentation for accuracy in accordance with terms and conditions;
• Building and maintaining business contacts with prospects and customers;
• Approving documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals;
• Collaborating with other team members to meet client needs for insurance and risk management;
• Responding to customer needs and developing a relationship with them in order to solidify the link with Aon.
• Supporting the Account Manager and Brokers by informing customers of new products, new warranties and market trends;
• Collaborating and maintaining relationships with colleagues in Aon's international network;
• Negotiating with Underwriters for the best terms, conditions and competitive pricing for existing and new clients;
• Collaborating with Account Executives & Brokers to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business;

How This Opportunity Is Different

As part of this industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting our Commercial Risk and Health Solutions. We offer you an opportunity to learn the business from the ground up, under the mentorship of a senior leader. You will gain valuable experience supporting both client and internal projects.

In this program you will rotate positions every 8 months; you’ll start in either Broking or Account Management and will finish in one of our Specialty areas. In Broking, you'll interact with insurance carriers and their intermediaries, strategize and place insurance policies on behalf of our clients and learn the technical elements of the business. In Account Management, you will work on daily client management and coordinate internal processes between Aon’s service centre, the brokerage team and account management team. In your final rotation, you may work in one of our industry verticals like Construction, Surety, or Personal Lines, or you might work in our Claims or Underwriting departments.

• Strong interest in sales and account management
• Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint);

Required Education:

• Completion of an undergraduate or graduate program in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or other related fields by May 2023.
