Home Time: Local deliveries and home every night!

Type of Freight: Flatbed, Tractor Trailer.

Responsible for pulling cargo containers from ports / rail yards, delivering to MSI designated locations, and returning back empty containers.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a skilled test (driving test) and all DOT pre-employment requirements including physical ability to perform all duties of a Class A CDL Driver.
• Ability to work alone and concentrate
• Able to work at lowered height of 6” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment
• Able to lift and transfer 65lbs
• Able to work at elevated height of 72” above the ground while assembling and disassembling strap, ties, ratchets, nuts, bolts, and other securing or fastening equipment
• Able to read Bill of Lading/Picking Sheets/Delivery Orders.
• Knowledge of using iPads
• Perform additional duties as required and or requested.
• Must be safety minded in all aspects of this job.
• Able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch
• High School Education preferred and 2 plus years’ of verifiable driving experience.
• Patience and a polite attitude towards other road users
• Valid TWIC Card
• Responsible for pulling cargo containers from ports / rail yards, delivering to MSI designated locations, and returning back empty containers.
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• Able to ascend and descend multiple-rung ladder
• Bilingual a plus, but not necessary
• Must know how to maintain a legal and accurate log book.
• Must be comfortable with procedures at the port / railyard.
• 1 year of verifiable driving experience with heavy duty vehicles
• Able to hook and unhook containers to the power unit, and able to assist in loading, unloading, and securing of cargo
• Must possess a Valid Class A CDL
• Able to carry at least 30lbs the length of the truck bed
• Must be comfortable making local deliveries with multiple stops, if required.
• Generate 137lbs of vertical push/pull force
