Key Responsibilities

Forecasts & Budget:

• Preparing financial narratives, headcount reporting, provide drivers, data for financial presentations to senior management and analyzing business risks / opportunities.
• Providing financial analysis and support for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Leading, consolidating, analyzing and submitting the forecast and budget (expenses & headcount) organization wide.

Actuals

• Construct cross-walks between budget/forecast and actuals.
• Lead Financial support and analysis for Quarterly Business reviews.
• Develop close working relationship with the Controller to ensure timely and systematic process are executed during close to ensure timely management report delivery.
• Completing monthly accounting and reconciliations organization wide.
• Share responsibility in executing accounting and business procedures, ensure integrity of process Support Monthly and Quarterly reporting to our Executive Committee.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within the finance organization to streamline processes and improve communication and flow of information to the business.

Reporting

• Partner with Accounting, Financial Systems, and IT to ensure consistent reporting views for senior management and the Finance organization (FP&A, Accounting).
• Proactively identify reporting needs for upcoming corporate exercise (forecast, LRP, budget) by partnering across functions (FP&A, Accounting).
• Drive ongoing corporate reporting efficiencies and improvements by streamlining existing and future processes.
• Partner with owner of master data governance to facilitate management reporting through consistency, standardization, and automation/efficiencies.

Education And Experience

• 10+ years of FP&A experience; life sciences industry experience highly desired
• 5+ year of people management experience
• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA is a plus.

Skills And Abilities

• Proven track record of strategic business partnering and influencing across the organization.
• Strong understanding of biotech operations (Early Research, Early Stage Clinical Development, Manufacturing, G&A).
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation skills (including to Leadership Teams).
• Proficiency with excel and SAP suite of applications ( S/4, SAC, Success Factors, etc.).
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to balance multiple priorities in a very fast paced, dynamic environment.
