Our client, a listed company in Vancouver is looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis This is an exciting role and a critical member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, supporting a dynamic organization that is radically changing the biotech industry.

This role will be the head of Corporate FP& A and key business partner, and will be responsible for leading and managing annual operating budgets and forecasts, month-end close and management reporting activities, supporting business development transactions and collaborations, and ad-hoc operational and strategic decision-making support. The Director of Corporate FP& A will also be responsible for keeping a pulse on the various functions by partnering with the Operational FP& A Business Partners to understand current plans, and deviations to management approved plans.

This role will provide a unique exposure to the Leadership Team as it continues to grow to support the potential of novel technologies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has experience in the biotech industry, and is obsessed with learning and gaining efficiencies in day-to-day finance operations, enjoys fast paced environment and bringing rigor into processes. The ideal candidate has experience managing through matrixed organizations and has extensive experience driving continuous improvements in financial and operational processes. They should have an MBA ideally and a CPA designation. They should also have 10 years of experience in FP& A with 5 years minimum in a leadership role.
