Job Description
Dining Room Supervisor- Non Exempt

As the Dining Room Supervisor, you will work closely with the Dining Services Manager to ensure each resident and guest preferences and needs are being met. You will have the chance each day to positively impact lives by ensuring that every Touchmark resident and guest has an exceptional dining experience, every time.  You will hire, lead, mentor, and develop our team of dining room staff, teaching them proper dining room etiquette, meal handling procedures, and customer service skills so that every experience in our dining room meets and exceeds the Touchmark Gold Standard.  You will also be responsible for scheduling and budget oversite.



The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will


  • Demonstrate success in managing and motivating a team of employees
  • Possess the knowledge and ability to follow State and Federal regulations to meet all requirements and resident's rights
  • Ability to work and make decisions in high pressure situations
  • Be willing to work weekends, evenings, holidays and special events
  • Experience with training and scheduling team members
  • Have a commitment to Touchmark's values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers.
  • Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
  • Possess or willing to get an Alberta Government approved Food Safety Certificate and a Liquor staff training certificate.


Responsibilities


  • Help create a positive work environment in order to maintain low staff turnover
  • Create wait staff scheduling and assist in front and back of house scheduling and reports as needed
  • Work collaboratively with Dining Room Manager & Executive Chef to enhance the dining experience and improve the company's profitability
  • Be responsible for training and development of new wait staff
  • Assist in coordinating front and back of house staff to create a seamless flow
  • Final candidate must produce a clear police check and be double vaccinated and be willing to be boostered for COVID-19
  • Assist in managing kitchen and dining staff to achieve customer service and financial goals of dining department
  • Provide appropriate coaching to employees so they can perform job duties effectively
  • Help maintain appropriate payroll budgeting and scheduling of servers
