Reports to: Digital Analytics & Experimentation Lead


Location: North Vancouver, BC


Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:


The Digital Analytics Specialist works with cross-functional teams to analyze data, monitor performance metrics, and providing valuable insights to drive growth and enhance the overall online experience. You will contribute to the achievement of performance goals, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making across various departments.


This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid or remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.


Meet Your Future Team:


The Ecommerce team is responsible for developing our Ecommerce channel and all consumer facing digital touchpoints for Arc’teryx. We are a high-performing team responsible for direct-to-consumer eCommerce (strategy and operations), Digital Growth Marketing, Digital Analytics, Digital User Experience, and Digital Merchandising and Digital Product Content. The team works closely with many other teams, including Retail, Brand and Marketing Operations.


If you were the Digital Analytics Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:


  • Monitoring and analyzing sales performance, conversion rates, customer behavior, online shopping experiences, consumer trends, to identify opportunities for improvement and risks in product offerings, and the guest journey
  • Supporting training of colleagues and internal partners in their use of digital analytics to answer their business questions, working cross-functionally
  • Extracting, and analyzing data from ecommerce platforms, such as websites, mobile apps, using analytics tools and technologies like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and other data collection platforms
  • Gathering business questions and translating them into data requirements and specifications
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity by conducting data quality checks and adhering to data privacy regulations
  • Conducting ad hoc analysis, as required, for cross-functional partners to support Ecommerce, Mobile App, Digital Marketing, Brand and Information Systems
  • Preparing regular reports and dashboards summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders and management to inform decision-making processes
  • Developing and maintaining documentation of analyses and insights through knowledge management tools such as Confluence, automating where appropriate
  • Monitoring and reporting on outcomes of improvements and progress against performance goals


Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:


  • Developing and maintaining reporting structures for eCommerce, digital merchandising, UX, and digital marketing that support our ecommerce objectives
  • Assisting in planning, executing, and analyzing A/B tests to evaluate the impact of different website elements, promotional offers, and marketing strategies on conversion rates and revenue
  • Utilizing customer data to segment and profile customer groups based on demographics, preferences, and purchase history to drive targeted marketing campaigns and personalized experiences
  • Presenting findings and recommend actions to senior stakeholders on a regular basis

  • You are innovative and creative, with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • You have 4+ years of experience as a Digital Analyst or similar role, preferably within the retail or ecommerce industry
  • You have strong analytical skills with a proven track record of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets
  • You have proven data instincts and clear understanding of the common pitfalls of digital analytics
  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • You are self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You have experience with digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar platforms, specifically within the ecommerce context
