Job Description

Our client is seeking Liferay Developer for initial 3-4 month REMOTE contract to develop custom portlet and workflow in support of customer project. Portlet running in existing Supplier Portal.


DUTIES:

  • Develop prototype code to validate architectural design decisions, ensuring maintainability, performance, security, scalability and time to market.
  • Drive solution design from concept to implementation.
  • Work closely with internal teams as well as with customers to implement interactive prototypes for upcoming features.
  • Translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.
  • Work with multiple cross functional teams to translate business strategies and requirements into solutions, articulating technical vision and strategy.


SKILLS:

  • Experience in code review and code quality control.
  • Experience with Liferay portal. Should have implemented multiple Portals/Projects using Liferay.
  • Deep understanding of web and application server technologies, including open-source technologies.
  • Strong experience styling for cross browser presentation.
  • Strong experience styling with CSS using preprocessors (SASS, LESS).
  • Familiar with advanced JavaScript concepts and design patterns.
  • 2+ years of front-end development experience (HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Javascript).
  • 4+ years of software development experiencein Liferay on version 6.1
  • Extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
  • Hands-on experiences in Web Services, XML and data persistence layer framework design and development.
  • Hands-on experiences in build and deployment processes in the Unix/Linux environment.
  • Experiences in configuration management and continuous integration and automated build tools.
  • Must have Bootstrap experience.
