You should be extremely passionate about our community and Revelstoke as a whole, be outgoing, on-brand, and ready to step into a highly motivated team.

●Managing Tourism Revelstoke’s Sustainability Committee.
●Leading the efforts of the Climate Action Coalition.
●Working with the marketing team to develop creative campaigns to support sustainability and regenerative tourism.
●Writing our Tourism Talks column and ensuring that destination management objectives are communicated to the broader community.
●Reviewing Tourism Revelstoke’s activities and budgets to ensure that actions are value aligned and that every dollar spent by the organization goes above and beyond just “promotion”.
●Identifying and applying for relevant grants to support our activities.
●Managing contractors specific to destination management initiatives.
The right candidate will be:
●Self-motivated and independent.
●A proven leader.
●Organized and able to manage a dynamic workload.
●Capable of managing and reporting on budgets.
●Resourceful and creative.
●Able to connect with the community and rally support.
●Passionate about Revelstoke and our future as a community.
Requirements:
●Experience in working with and managing budgets.
●Strong written and spoken communication skills.
●Experience in a non-profit organization.
●Leadership and/or management experience.
Nice to Haves:
● Experience in a Destination Marketing/Management Organization.

●Experience as a volunteer and/or board member in community organizations.
●Experience in Squarespace, WordPress, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
●An understanding of municipal governance.
●Post-secondary education in Sustainability, Tourism, Community Planning, Environmental Sciences, or a similarly relevant program.
The Details:
●General expectations for this position are to work 35 hours/week.
●The salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience.
●Remote work is possible on occasion; however, the selected candidate must reside in Revelstoke and will be expected to spend time in the office in downtown Revelstoke working in collaboration with the Tourism Revelstoke team.
●Full benefits package.
●Revelstoke Mountain Resort Summer & Winter Seasons Passes (and a flexible schedule so that you can use it)!
