Job Description

Position: Desktop Support Technician II

Location: Toronto, ON, M5H 3T9

Duration: 3 Months

Job Type: Contrac-to-hire

Work Type: Onsite

Language: English

Pay rate:$26.00-$26.00/hr

:

  • Identifies, analyzes and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed
  • Network device replacement/configuration
  • Experience with inventory management, incident response, and reporting
  • Perform preventive maintenance of client's assets (including inspection, basic testing, adjustments, cleaning, upgrading software/firmware, and arrange repair as necessary)
  • Hardware repair and software restoration at server component level
  • Candidate should be able to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Candidate should have experience with Preventative Maintenance initiatives
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and peripherals
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Candidate should display a high level of competency for time management and ticket handling
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems
  • Deploy equipment (including: computers, displays, keyboards, printers, hand-held scanners, and other peripheral devices)
  • Deliver paper / ribbons / toner and reload if required, responding to print and AV incidents;
  • Experience with IT support in an airport environment or Transportation industry an asset
  • On-site software support
  • Repair of high-end printers and multi-function devices

Provide general IMAC services for client's assets Expectations:

  • Candidate should be local to Vancouver
  • Overtime may be required
  • Candidate is expected to be able to successfully pass a Background check for security clearance

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Desktop support L2 troubleshooting
  • Decommission and assess Redeploy laptops and update all inventory.

TOP 2 or 3 required skills that candidates must have:

  • Communications, Hardware Break-Fix,deinstalling
  • Good communication (Written/ Verbal), Technical know-how for L2 troubleshooting and Coordination.

Specific certifications or education:

  • 2-5 years of related work experience, or AA degree, or technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience. A+ Certification
