As a designer and manufacturer, Crystal is able to provide a full scope of services, including conceptual design, engineering, drawing production, custom manufacturing, project management, programming, and commissioning. It offers solutions to meet the varied needs of developers, architects, contractors, distributors, VARs (Value Added Resellers), and the general public.


Crystal Fountains is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its dynamic team in Toronto (Vaughan), Ontario, who will report to the Design Engineering Manager.


Key Accountabilities/Activities (summary):


The Design Engineering Manager at Crystal Fountains is responsible for proactively planning and organizing the day-to-day and long-term management of Crystal’s System Design and Application Engineering teams. They will own all Engineering processes from sales forecast to post-commissioning and warranty. They will minimize Engineering risks by ensuring that Crystal’s Designs and methods meet all applicable standards, codes, and industry best practices.

  • Promptly and accurately respond to Customer and Prospect requests for information.
  • Deal with the tough decisions of “trade-offs” when the company’s activities are incompatible. Deal with incompatible behaviors and management systems. Limit what our company offers.

  • Safe fountain designs that conform to industry best practices regarding sanitation, soft tissue damage, toe entrapment, and segregation of people from hazardous fountain elements.

  • Reduce the number of occurrences CF is in an auction.
  • Reviewing Process flow diagrams for mechanical and electrical water feature design.

  • 8 hour shift

  • Create and maintain proactive design information systems to ensure excellent drawing, specification, bills of material, and all build information quality.
  • Research and incorporate Global Regulatory Standards compliance must be branded as the fountain company with the global best practices.

  • Work with Procurement and Manufacturing to produce accurate, on-time custom product cost and lead time estimations.
