Senior Planner | Montreal, QC | Hybrid | Supply Chain | Retail Industry

Hays is proud to partner with a major Canadian retailer that is looking to recruit for the role of Senior Planning Analyst. Your new role

As Senior Planning Analyst, your main responsibility include carrying out the purchasing and distribution of seasonal products and various analyses related to the products, as well as to help lead and support the team of analysts.


  • Execute the distribution of inventory at the SKU level to stores based on seasonal sales curves;
  • Ensure purchasing is in line with future performance goals for sales and inventory, and track actual results and variances;
  • Prepare various purchasing and summary reports for the buying team;
  • Conduct team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations; and
  • Execute the purchasing of inventory at the SKU level;
  • Delegate tasks, set deadlines and follow up with team members;
  • Review and identify areas for improvements on current purchasing and distribution processes;
  • Help guide the team in the purchasing and distribution of seasonal inventory.
  • Work with Distribution Centers/Warehouses to ensure inventory is shipped on time;


What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ of relevant experience, Bachelors Degree in a relevant field, managerial experience (asset), experience with Excel and SAP, strong attention to detail, have the ability to work on fast paced and changing environment, and have strong analytical skills.
