As a Data Modeler, you will help shape how data is stored, used, and manipulated in our Cloud Data Warehouse to help the business make informed and data-driven decisions. You will be responsible for the efficient design and development of our Cloud Data Warehouse.

We practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in-person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What You Will Do

• Creatively navigate through a complex network of data structures, pull relevant data, and build solutions that serve key business goals
• Use industry standards like Kimball architecture to design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models, data integration patterns, and metadata models, and collaborate with a team of analytics engineers to build and execute on the same
• Harness, model and transform data (structured, unstructured) from several sources that empowers users to collaborate and analyze data in different ways leading to better and faster decision making
• Collaborate on designing cloud-compatible CI/CD frameworks to deploy solutions on a Cloud Data Platform
• Actively participate in planning sessions and collaborate with product managers and analytics leads to build innovative data solutions for key business analytics needs

What we are looking for:

• Experience with metadata management and related tools
• Experience with MSSQL or Oracle database
• Expert knowledge with data mapping, transformation, SQL and implementing physical and relational data models
• 4+ years Data Modelling experience on cloud data warehousing platforms
• Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse and tech stacks such as Microsoft (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Streams, Databricks) or Google (BigQuery, Dataflow, Datafusion, Dataproc)
