Data Architect Jobs

Insight Global is looking for a Data Architect for a 6-month contract (with possible extensions or perm) to join one of Calgary's largest midstream oil and gas companies. This person will:

• Recommend enhancements or additions to the baseline EDM as necessary to resolve gaps or identified issues
• Work with Data Engineering Architects to create database tables and/or event streams as necessary to enable all data interoperability and BI/reporting infrastructure required to complete project and enterprise deliverables
• Configure and maintain Data Catalogue and Data Lineage metadata within MDM Platform and MS Azure Purview between source and EDM schemas
• Work with the EA MDM architect to implement all necessary logging, audit, access and control, dashboard, engine room monitoring, and other operating components necessary to transition ERP-specific solutions and components to Operations
• Perform all necessary Master Data Management activities within CluedIn and the overall Master Data Management Platform as required to support the project deliverables, including match & merge configuration, transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and quality assurance validations
• Map in-scope ERP data sets to the Enterprise Data Model (EDM) -- in collaboration with and under the guidance of senior data architects
• Implement event-driven workflow solutions within MDM Platform to support orchestration of data mastering across multiple systems of record, for approval workflows and notifications, and for enterprise publish/subscribe facilitation

Must-haves

• 8+ years completing Data Mastering (match/merge, transform, cleanse, enrich, reference data management)
• 8+ years within Master Data Management (MDM)
• Financials and Supply Chain business knowledge

Plusses

• Working knowledge/experience with CluedIn MDM
• Oil and Gas specific Financials and Supply Chain business knowledge

Internal Notes:

• We are not looking so much for “big data” resources with BI experience, it is more on the Data Mastering, conversion skillsets (match/merge, transformations, cleansing, enrichment) – building pipelines for data loading. And working with tools that do Master Data Management for an organizations Enterprise Data management
• No specific coding languages needed – CluedIn MDM has their own configuration model and low code programming languages
• CluedIn MDM might be hard to find – other tools they may have are Profisee, SQL Server MDS (Master Data Services), SAP Business Objects, Tibco
• Cloud experience is not important
• Current state of the project will be heavy on data mastering and conversion and then they will work toward life cycle management (Service Bus or PubSub) and that is where the architect skillset will come in. For the beginning, it will be heavy fingers to keyboards and we needs someone that is hands on to do this
• Ramp up period will take 2-3 weeks for the contractor to hit the ground running
