Work Arrangement: Hybrid: You'll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.

As ATB's next Senior Finance Architect, you will play a key role in guiding Finance in terms of its financial/accounting processes, systems, and creation of financial information. This position aligns business goals and objectives with decisions regarding the financial system handling of new products and services. The primary focus is to ensure that ATB's financial systems continually reflect the business motivations, business operations and financial analysis frameworks that link the enterprise together. The Senior Finance Architect works to develop an integrated financial view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, set of guiding principles, and available industry standard techniques. Ultimately, they ensure the integrity of ATB's financial systems to support both the need for accurate and complete accounting records as well as financial information that supports business decisions.

Main Accountabilities

• Provide expertise and assess impact on ATB's subledger as a result of system upgrades, patches, and new/changes in products or services.
• Understand how ATB subledger transactions are captured in ATB's reporting tools.
• Develop and maintain a Finance Architecture training program designed to onboard Finance Architects and set them up for success.
• Understand ATB's system landscape, the nature of transactions, how the transactions flow between the systems, the accounting implication of these transactions, and how to map the accounting implications in ATB's subledger (currently SAP Bank Analyzer).
• Able to describe ATB's system landscape, the nature of transactions, and how the transactions flow between the systems for knowledge sharing and training purposes.
• Detect and investigate system issues and provide guidance on resolution.
• Liaise with the relevant technical teams to develop solutions that meet ATB's accounting and financial reporting needs.
• Mentor and coach Finance Architect.
• Develop and maintain finance architecture strategies and apply a structured approach/ methodology for capturing the key financial requirements of the enterprise.

Requirements

• Project management experience with planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
• Effectively and autonomously manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Strong technical proficiencies in SQL, G-Suite programs, App scripts, etc.
• Experience with leading and coaching team members.
• Able to translate technical language and relate it to banking and accounting concepts and vice versa.
• Accounting designation with 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a complex financial accounting environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to develop and apply architectural principles to business and accounting solutions.
• Strong situational analysis, analytical skills, and decision making abilities.
