Counter Sales Jobs

Role Overview:

The Counter Sales position ensures that we maintain a high level of service for our customers both in store and online. This role requires on-site work, Monday to Friday. There is no availability of remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Keep areas organized and clean, including placement of stock, as well as counter and pick-up area for our customers
• Assist in managing inventory on company website
• Process orders to completion which includes pricing, picking the order, and sourcing additional information as required, accurately and efficiently
• Other duties as assigned by Managment
• Contact customers advising them of status updates on issues with respect to their orders
• Provide estimates, quotes, delivery information or terms to customers
• Evaluate customer’s needs and upsell product where appropriate to maximize sales
• Act as an ambassador of Clare with all customers, employees and suppliers
• Assist with inventory control management and follow strict processes for the handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Provide direct sales service and product line information to our customers (in person or by social media, online store and telephone/e-mail), and ensure customer’s needs are satisfied
• Ensure all items purchased are properly entered, allocated and efficiently processed
• Create promotional material for social media platforms (instagram, facebook) to drive sales and engagement

Skills:

• Exceptional customer service and communication (written & verbal) skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
• Able to safely lift upwards of 50lbs
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Aptitude for social media, marketing and design considered a valuable asset
• Ability to work collaboratively with teammates at all levels
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines

Qualifications:

• Ability to reliably travel to Clare Hamilton daily
• Ability to work in office 5 days a week
• 2 + customer service experience
• Experience in tools, tool sales, drywall tools, drywall or like industry considered a valuable asset but not required
• 1+ years experience in over-the-counter sales
