Job Description
We're looking for talented and passionate Line Cooks and Senior Line Cooks to join our beautiful French restaurant, Cluny Bistro and Boulangerie (https://clunybistro.com/) !


The Distillery Restaurants Corp. (https://distilleryhospitality.com/) is the creator of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits, Madrina Bar y Tapas, District Pizza and Distillery Events (Archeo and The Loft). What You’ll Experience With The DRC


  • CONTESTS! Greatest Dish Challenge: A monthly cooking competition open to all DRC cooks with a $250 CASH prize. This is also a great opportunity to challenge yourself and have a panel of DRC Executive Chefs to try your food.
  • GOLDEN TICKETS! AKA more cool prizes awarded to team players that are recognized for their outstanding work ethic.
  • TRIPS! Yes, you read that right – field trips! Selected employees get the chance to visit artisan food producers, cooking demos, farms and suppliers to educate and inspire.
  • CAREER GROWTH! Learn under the guidance of Cluny's Exec Chef, Christine Mast and the talented Chef team as well as the DRC’s Executive Chef team led by Chef Tim Miles (Culinary Director).
  • $20.00 - $22.00 PER HOUR and food discounts at all our restaurants.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Encouraging the DRC’s core beliefs and values on a daily basis
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned
  • Moving food products and supplies between outlets when necessary
  • Operating standard kitchen equipment with caution
  • Preparing food according to recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set out by our Executive Chef
  • Working collaboratively with BOH team members
  • Reporting any equipment/utensil malfunctions/deficiencies to Chef on duty
  • Maintaining clean and organized stations
  • Following FIFO method to maximize product freshness


What You’ll Bring To The Kitchen


  • EDUCATION/TRAINING. You’ve graduated with a culinary degree/diploma or it’s in process. It’s possible that school wasn’t your thing, but you’ve got the equivalent to a college education through a combination of education and experience.
  • ADAPTABILITY. You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • PERSONALITY. You’re humble coupled with a good sense of humour.
  • EXPERIENCE. You have at least 2 years of cooking experience in an upscale restaurant environment, cooking from scratch. Experience with French cuisine is considered an asset.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS. You demonstrate exceptional relationship-building and communication skills among your team members at the restaurant.
  • PASSION. You have a genuine passion for food and a drive to create.
