Controller Jobs

As the Controller for our Burlington Manufacturing Plant, you are a key member of the Gentek Manufacturing team. Reporting to the Sr. Divisional Controller and dotted line to the Plant Manager, with one direct report, you will be dedicated to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial reporting. You will also support operational efficiency and investment projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain and improve internal control processes.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis providing support to the Plant Manager and the corporate finance team, including account analysis, KPI metrics, project costing.
• All other tasks on request.
• Provide analytical expertise on mission critical data to enhance decision making including forecasting, budgeting, capital investments.
• Improve profitability by identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions, tracking cost savings and reporting project status to the team.
• Perform all financial functions related to month/quarter/year-end closing including journal entries, conversion costing, income statements, variances analysis and account reconciliations.

Please be aware this is an on-site position.

The ideal candidate will posses:

• Experience in implementing an ERP system as asset
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment using manufacturing software/costing system
• Comfortable in a work environment that includes a mix of detail and analytical work with high degree of quality and accuracy, related administrative work, while driving broader initiatives
• Ability to work independentlyand collaboratively with remote team
• Strong analytical and statistical data management skills, highly organized and able to deliver on deadlines
• Proficiency in Oracle E-Business suite an asset
• CPA designation
• Proven project/process management ability
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office products with expertise in MS Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Commerce
