Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and projections based on market trends, business goals, and industry analysis.
  • Provide regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and variances.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and present findings to management for decision-making.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and track budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual operating budgets.


Job Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of financial software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.


Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance environment
  • Prior knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and/or knowledge of risk management related to FX considered an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or other related program
