Job Summary:

The Controller will prepare and review the month end financial processing for the group of companies under the Pure Flavor Brand. This position includes reconciliation of accounts, preparation of supporting schedules, adjusting entries, variance and ratio analysis and financial statement review. The Controller will have oversight of spending and monitor spend levels versus budget and identify trends and variances, ensuring that the company finance goals and objectives are being consistently met.

Responsibilities:

• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliation process.
• Coordinate and evaluate Finance team responsibilities; including invoicing, accounts receivables, accounts payables, growers’ pay, inventory management and payroll.
• Manage and comply with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinate the budget and forecast process; establish schedules, collect, analyze, and consolidate financial data, initiate corrective actions; recommend a plan of action to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership to the Finance Team with respect to performance management, scheduling, employee relations, awareness of business context/profitability as well as training/development of staff members.
• Provide cash management and inter-company transfers for a group of companies; monitor cash balances and assist with preparation of cash flow projections.
• Oversee the consolidation process, providing accurate, consistent results.
• Oversee month end and year end audit reviews and close processes; prepare and publish financial statements, including account reconciliations, variance analysis and commentary.
• Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Other core expectations as defined by the company.
• Bank and debt covenant calculations (monthly, quarterly, annually).

Qualifications:

• CPA designation (required).
• Experience in working with multiple currencies and legal entities.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft (MS) Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills required; demonstrated ability to produce presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, and charts; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be an influential leader with a collaborative management style and ability to motivate others, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required); MBA (preferred)
• Critical thinking and strong analytical skills for forecasting, consolidation of data and financial analysis.

Salary: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
