About this team

The Raw Materials Innovation team shapes, surprises and engineers delight into the future guest experience through raw materials innovation principles and material science. We go beyond the classic research and development methodologies into the realm of limitless possibility for both body and mind. We innovate new materials that didn't exist, we create new experiences for our guests that they didn't know that they wanted it. We get our guests altogether and engineer new sensations in our materials they've never experienced. We need you to work on short, mid and long-term projects by defining 'state of the art', leading research, building insight, generating unique point of view, creating prototypes and proving principles.

A day in the life

You are highly motivated and detail-oriented. You will play a key role in supporting our raw materials innovation efforts, contributing to the development of new and advanced raw materials. You will work closely with our Raw Material Innovation team members, assisting in the exploration, evaluation, and implementation of innovative materials.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Document and analyze test results, prepare reports, and present findings to the research team.
  • Assist in managing material inventory and ensure proper documentation and organization.
  • Conduct experiments and tests to assess the performance, properties, and characteristics of new materials.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols in all material-related activities.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in textile materials science, manufacturing techniques, and relevant industries.
  • Assist in preparing research and project reports, presentations.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify research areas and material needs, and generate innovation concepts.
  • Support the team in sourcing and evaluating potential material suppliers and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of innovative textile materials into products and processes.
  • Use AI based tools to identify technologies for innovative textile materials.
  • Conduct literature reviews and market research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and suppliers in textile materials.
  • Assist in the development and execution of material testing and evaluation plans for our materials.
  • Assist in the development of prototypes and proof-of-concept models using novel materials.

Nice to haves

  • You have a master's degree in Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field. 3+ year of researching experience, especial in the field of textile materials is desirable.
  • You have strong inter-disciplinary communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You are familiarity with material testing methods and characterization techniques specific to textiles.
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • You are creative, proactive and bring energy to whatever you do.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • You have strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • You understand that success is found in an attention to detail throughout the entire process and you put the guest first.
  • You are willing for continuous learning and growth.
  • You have knowledge and experience on AI and AI based material discovery, design, modedling and informatics.
  • You enjoy the opportunities to work across different teams but also celebrate the need to work alone.
  • You are proficiency in data collection and analysis using scientific software or tools.
  • You have a passion for a career in R&D, you love finding research proven.
  • You can simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • You have strong knowledge of textile materials, Polymers, fibers, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of sustainability and eco-friendly textile materials is a plus.
