The Position

Lumine Group is looking for a Content & Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team. In this new role, you will be a key player in driving content development, executing corporate communications initiatives, and managing high impact events across the globe. You will report to the Director of Marketing, and work cross-functionally with various departments including our Human Resources and leadership teams to translate Lumine Group’s mission into compelling content, strategic communications, and engaging events & experiences.

Responsibilities
Content & Communications (80%)
- Monitor and analyze content performance, engagement metrics, audience feedback, and ongoing media mentions, to continuously refine and improve content strategies.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to support communication of HR programs, internal news development and people development stories.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels. Help maintain brand guidelines and ensure adherence to the Lumine Group’s tone, voice, and visual identity in all communication materials.
- Own the execution of the content calendar by creating compelling content across multiple media formats (written, video, audio).
- Support media relations strategy and initiatives, including maintaining media kits, reviewing press releases, and other materials for distribution to relevant media channels.
- Execute corporate communication strategies to keep employees informed about company updates, policies, and initiatives. This may include creating newsletters, memos, and organizing internal events.
- Identify and advance creative story angles and drive thought-leadership positioning that achieves business objectives, including partnering with journalists & publications.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in content marketing to recommend innovative approaches and tactics.
- Research communications & media industry related topics to develop story ideas. Conducting interviews, producing the articles, and editing as needed.
Event Communications & Management (20%)
- Partner with and manage third-party vendors to track event logistics, including but not limited to hotel rooms, décor, food & beverage, staffing, production (audio/visual, event branding), entertainment and swag, transportation, activities
- Develop content & communications plans for the promotion of events across the organization and any associated collateral.
- Work collaboratively with leaders across the organization to support committee planning meetings, present to executives/stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams to develop and successfully execute programs.
- Manage and contribute towards creative problem solving in an ever-evolving environment, improving current team and event processes to optimize team’s operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create engaging post-event marketing content that showcases the success of the event and drives awareness across the organization.
- Successfully execute the annual events calendar (varying annually) ensuring all deliverables are met, adherence to the intended strategies, budgets, and timelines
- Support onsite events, organizing logistics and coordinating with facilities and vendors to ensure a seamless event experience.
Who You Are
- 2-3 years of marketing, public relations, communications, or experiential agency experience, or in-house internal/corporate/marketing communications experience is considered an asset.
- Subject matter expertise in telecommunications and/or broadcast media technology industry, capital markets, or B2B technology is considered an asset.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, with excellent time-management and interpersonal skills.
- Captivating audiences and evoking emotions through compelling narratives. Passionate about diverse storytelling techniques tailored to different stakeholders.
- A team player thriving in cross-functional environments, fostering strong relationships, and influencing stakeholders to support our content and communication initiatives.
- Strategic mindset aligning content and communication initiatives with overall marketing and business objectives. You play a pivotal role in developing resonant content supporting our brand positioning.
- Capable of self-creating content using tools like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or Canva (basic skill level).
- A skilled communicator adept at bringing stories and concepts to life through storytelling and events.
- Event organizer extraordinaire (or working towards it!) with event planning and execution experience. Eager to create memorable and impactful experiences for attendees.
- Results-focused, adept at managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
