Our BC based partner is looking for a Communications Specialist to join a dynamic and high-performing team that is working to transform how providers, staff and users access data to enable more informed, efficient, and coordinated care across various organization settings. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective communication plans that are designed to achieve strategic outcomes and project success.
This specialist will use their exceptional interpersonal, communications, design, and presentation skills to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders including providers, staff, IT teams and vendors. Under the direction of the Change Management Lead, they will create clear, concise, and engaging communication materials to build awareness, alignment, and support for the Program and related initiatives.
The Communications Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Managing stakeholder feedback and ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Liaising with internal teams and external partners to build awareness, alignment, and support for products and services.
- Working with appropriate vendors such as graphic designers or communication firms as assigned.
- Working collaboratively with members of the program and Communication Teams to plan, develop and execute strategic communication strategies and tactical plans to support product design, stakeholder engagement and deployment of products and services.
- Collaborating with the Evaluation Lead to measure communication effectiveness, benefits realization and project outcomes and adjust strategies as needed.
- Staying up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends and technologies related to project communication and incorporate them into project activities and tactics as needed.
- Supporting the planning and facilitation of workshops, meetings, presentations, speaking engagements and community events as required.
- Supporting the translation of evaluation metrics and analytics into engaging reports and dashboards for project team members, executives and external stakeholders where required.
- Coordinating the planning, production, presentation, and distribution of engaging communication materials such as newsletters, executive briefs, presentations, videos, and website content.
- Managing project-related communication channels such as email, website, and collaboration tools to ensure timely and relevant information sharing.
Experience Required:
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt key messaging and tactics to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in communications, supplemented with seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address communication challenges proactively.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication plans in complex multi-stakeholder environments or IT implementation projects.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as necessary.
Preference will be given to consultants who have the following:
- Significant experience in the application of change tools and methodologies
- Experience with project management software, CRMs, and collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
- Working knowledge and experience with agile product/project management concepts, practices, activities, and deliverables.
