Gateway is seeking a dynamic, outgoing and energetic attendant who loves to create buzz and excitement, as well as provide an outstanding and personalized guest experience. As a Concession Server/Lotto Attendant, you will increase guest loyalty by building a client network and promoting events and products. You can manage the needs of guests with a smile, bring stellar listening skills and create a warm, comfortable experience guests will remember. Key Responsibilities

• Monitors guests’ consumption of alcohol and notifies supervisor of over consumption at applicable sites.
• Constantly monitors the cleanliness and aesthetics of the dining area and/or gaming floor and takes action where required.
• Maintains a high level of customer service in the food and beverage areas.
• Receives and verifies a float.
• Adheres to all BCLC policies and procedures for processing the sale and redemption of lottery products.
• Stocks and cleans Food and Beverage areas as required
• Serves food and/or beverages if requested.
• Handles payments through the company’s point of sale equipment adhering to the company policies.
• Maintains current knowledge of products, events and promotions and general information relating to the Food and Beverage department, general gaming floor and property.
• Adheres to all food service, hospitality and culinary standards, policies, and regulations; including hygiene and cleanliness.
• May prepare concession food products maintaining product consistency, portion controls and food presentation as per supervisory guidelines.
• Assist with management of food and liquor inventory system.
• Greets and welcomes all guests in the dining establishments and/or gaming floor.

What You Bring

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of cocktail preparation is an asset
• Knowledge of WHIMS Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System is an asset
• Excellent customer service skills including ability to be friendly, polite and patient
• Fast food, quick serve or culinary experience in a food and beverage establishment is an asset
• Serving It Right Certificate
• Cash handling experience using a POS system or Cash register
• Knowledge of sanitary methods and safety procedures in the kitchen is an asset
• Ability to deal with demanding clientele in a professional manner
• Ability to multi-task, organize workload and work under pressure
• Ability to handle money and POS systems
