Job Title: CNC Machinist
Company: Mid-Canada Manufacturing
Location: Onaping, ON
Position Type: Full-time (Monday to Thursday - 7am to 4:30pm, Friday 7am to 3:30pm)

With a commitment to excellence and technology, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team.

As a CNC Machinist at Mid-Canada Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process by operating and programming CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the quality and efficiency of our production.
Responsibilities:
·Set up, program, and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and/or routers.
·Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements.
·Load raw materials into the machine and secure them properly.
·Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
·Write and edit CNC programs as needed to optimize machining processes.
·Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy.
·Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
·Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain tight tolerances.
·Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with CNC equipment and resolve them promptly.
·Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines.
·Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
·Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to meet production goals and standards.
·Provide training and guidance to junior machinists as required.
Qualifications:
·High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or machinist certification is a plus.
·Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
·Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
·Strong knowledge of CNC programming and G-code.
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
·Excellent precision measurement skills using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
·Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
·Familiarity with various materials and tooling.
·Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
·Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
·Willingness to learn and adapt to new machining technologies.
