Job Description

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for able safety-conscious and quality-focused individuals to join our growing compounding team.
Shift Available - Wednesday to Sunday for AM, PM, and Night Shifts
This role will be based out of our Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke. The work environment can be noisy and requires you to be in PPE always in the compounding area.
What You’d Be Doing In This Role
  • Dismantle, clean, sanitize, and assemble processing equipment according to established SODs to ensure GMP compliance and meet department changeover targets in support of reliability and productivity goals
  • Collect representative samples of product batches and co-ordinates with the R&D team to make sure the finished product matches the standard
  • Check all pre-weighed raw materials, and dispense raw materials safely when required
  • Identify and analyze downtimes, and develop solutions and control plans using tools such as 5 Whys, Statistics tools, Control Charts, Pareto, FMEA, DMAIC, Fault Tre Analysis, MTBF, MTTF, MTTR, etc.
  • Compounding all sorts of batches but not limited to aqueous-based products, O/W, W /O, and anhydrous products as per SOPs and Master Formulas
  • Effectively process batches within specifications to meet department batch execution targets by ensuring optimal cycle time in support of schedule adherence.
  • Complete G.M.P. documents, such as the batch records, C & S logs, housekeeping logs, and other documents as required, right at the first time
  • Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of batching kettles according to Standard Operating Procedure
  • Operate various equipment, including fully and semi-automatic kettles, pumps, agitators, hoists and scales Perform calibration checks for scales, gauges, and mixers
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (respirators, face shields, eyeglasses, etc.) and report any workplace injuries or accidents.
  • Maintain general housekeeping of the compounding area including keeping all pipes, hoses, clamps, gaskets, and other processing equipment off the floor and in the proper storage area
Skills And Qualifications Needed To Get The Job Done
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS
  • Effective time management and communication skills
  • A valid forklift license is an asset
