Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Aws Specialist (Canada)

Uptime.com is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our expanding team. This role will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation for providing industry-leading website uptime services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in server provisioning, AWS configurations, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), and superior problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continually update and improve our infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of Uptime.com and our customers
• Provision, maintain, and monitor servers across our infrastructure to uphold Uptime.com's commitment to maximum availability
• Utilize AWS suite to manage and optimize deployments specific to our cloud-based resources, ensuring seamless operational efficiency
• Handle support inquiries with professionalism, escalating and resolving infrastructure-related issues promptly
• Develop and maintain IAC utilizing tools like Ansible and Terraform to streamline and automate our infrastructure provisioning and management
• Collaborate with the development team, implementing infrastructure changes as needed and troubleshooting issues

Requirements

• Bonus: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols
• Proficient in IAC tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Extensive experience in server provisioning and AWS environments
