The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Foreman to support various projects in Alberta and British Columbia. Project details will vary based on site locations. Rates and allowances will also vary based on the location of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Communicating the job to and with craft workers
• Assist Project Manager on daily reports, schedules and manpower
• Set up work completion schedules
• Assist with project estimating, including labour, supplies and materials
• Supervising crew tasks
• Daily interactions with client on progress and project requirements
• Execute work in line with federal, provincial and client and company quality standards, codes and safety regulations
• Conduct daily safety meetings

Requirements

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience is a definite asset
• Experience in heavy civil and road work
• Drivers license, clean drivers abstract and reliable transportation
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Knowledgeable in the MS suite of applications (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
• Flexible during times of change
• Previous experience in civil/earthworks projects
