Carpenter / Handyman Jobs

We are seeking a Carpenter / Handyman to become a part of our team! The role will be a versatile multifaceted part of the team with such tasks as; assisting the Site Supervisor, supervising and coordinating Trade Partners and site activities to manage site conditions, performing various duties and basic activities around the site to ensure efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Visit various on-going projects, if required
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in retail and ICI construction
• Highly safety-oriented with ability and willingness to carry out tasks in line with Safety Policy and Procedures
• General carpentry duties and other assigned tasks from the Site Supervisor
• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
• Perform other duties, as assigned by Project Manager
• Assist Site Supervisor and maintain clean, safe workspace
• Foster positive communications and relationships with clients and sub-contractors
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Valid drivers’ license and reliable vehicle to travel to job sites
• A desire to learn, improve & grow within the company
• 5+ years of well-rounded construction experience; including carpentry, commercial construction techniques, tools and equipment
• Willingness to travel (majority of work is within 2 hr radius of GTA, various projects may be further)
• Assist in coordination of warranty work for completed projects Qualifications:
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Remaining informed and in-the-know on the general scope of work
• Previous experience as a Lead Hand or similar role
• Willingness to work at night when occupied spaces are available to work in Employees are expected to maintain a professional image and attitude.
