Position: Caretaker (Part Time, Permanent)


Location: Revelstoke, BC

Job Responsibilities


The position will be responsible for assisting with the operations of a rental property, which include but are not limited to:


  • Collect, deposit and record all rents,
  • Maintain accurate files and tenant ledger cards for each resident and suite,
  • Complete accurate detailed move in/out reports for each tenant and supervise moves to ensure security is maintained,
  • Satisfy fire code requirements,
  • Prepare detailed Incident Reports related to accidents, altercations and damage to the property and/or other applicable incidents,
  • Request Purchase Orders for all work and/or supplies being undertaken at the property
  • Perform administrative and caretaking duties according to procedures and instructions set by the Property Manager,
  • Book viewings of suites and interview potential tenants,
  • Supervise contractors and process invoices in a timely manner
  • When necessary deal with emergencies on a 24hr basis during the workweek,
  • Issue notices/ letters to tenants when applicable,
  • Comply with regulations as contained in the Residential Tenancy Act
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time.


Qualifications


The successful candidate will have/be:


  • Be able to take direction and work well with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an assets
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Computer literate
  • Motivated and professional
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Previous building management experience
