Caregiver (Personal Support Worker) - Van04Ml

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Support Worker to assist our male client with Muscular Dystrophy in all activities of daily living. He is an independent, curious and resourceful individual who enjoys spending time listening to music, watching tv and researching technology, science and languages. We are looking for a Health Care Assistant to become an important team member while gaining valuable experience. #UN2023.*Location:** Vancouver (Near Clinton Park)*Shifts & Hours of Work:** Monday & Tuesday: 8PM - 12AM*Compensation:** $30.00 per hr*Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):** Daily personal care such as bathing, dressing, washroom care, grooming* Assist the client with transfers using sling / ceiling lift* Medication administration* Meal preparation, g-tube feeding & light housekeeping* Bi-Pap care, Cough assistance, suctioning, & ventilator care* Range of Motion Exercises*Required Qualifications:** Caregiving experience is required* Health Care Assistant or nursing student experience is an asset* Experience working with individuals in power wheelchair* Fully Vaccinated, including flu shots* Driver’s License (Class 5) is an asset* Must be comfortable working in an environment with cats* Willingness to be trained*Individuals with disabilities can be more susceptible to the severe symptoms of COVID-19.
