Job Description
  • We are currently recruiting Personal Support Workers for our male client, who is in his 50s, and resides in Coquitlam (near Gleneagle Secondary School). This client is a quadriplegic and requires assistance with all aspects of daily living. He has a great sense of humour, is good natured overall and is very sociable and well informed. He likes to go for walks in nature, listening to music, and enjoys good conversation. Additionally, our client is flexible with staff schedules.**The ideal candidate is mature, reliable, has a respectful personality, a sense of humour, and enjoys assisting others to enjoy life. *#UN2023*Shifts:** Two to three days out of Monday - Friday (flexible with days): Start time of 8 AM, to work for 6 to 8 hours* Day Shift - Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 8 AM to 4 PM* Evening Shift- Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 6 PM to 12 AM or 8 PM to 2 AM* Optional Overnight shift_:_ 8 PM to 8 AM (with a 4 hour break)*Compensation:** Training Wage: $17.50 per hour (two training days)* Day shift & evening shift: $23.00 per hour* 12-hour overnight shift: $175 flat rate*Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):** Personal care routines such as transfers, showering/bed baths, dressing, colostomy and indwelling catheter care.* Assisted feeding* Meal Preparation* Light Housekeeping*Required Qualifications:** Caregiver experience required* Class 5 drivers license is an asset* Experience with colostomy and indwelling catheter an asset, but willing to train* Must be fully vaccinatedIf you are interested in this position and meet all the required qualifications, please apply directly to this job posting.If you can view this job posting, we are still accepting applications for this position.
