We provide over 35 customized job search programs that meet the unique needs of our jobseekers. ACCES is seeking Program Assistants to work hybrid at seven (7) of our locations: Markham, Newmarket, North York (Sheppard & the Don Valley area), Scarborough, Downtown Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton.

ACCES is recruiting youth/students in the field of Community & Employment Services, Career & Work Counseling, Immigration & Settlement, Project Management, Marketing, Community Services, & Social Work.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the online client flow and assist with organization of special events for the sites
  • And other duties as assigned
  • Update client information as required
  • Provide customer service care to ACCES clients
  • Promote ACCES services to employers and community partners through telephone campaign
  • Assist with contacting employers and community partners to raise program awareness
  • Assist project/program managers with daily project administration
  • Assist staff in the areas of Marketing, Online Services, and other areas as needed
  • Collect and organize all client forms
  • Assist staff to ensure all client needs are met


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Pursuing or completed post-secondary education in the field of Community & Employment Services, Career & Work Counseling, Immigration & Settlement, Project Management, Marketing, Community Services, & Social Work preferred
  • Previous work or volunteer experience working in a community base setting is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work and co-operate in a team
  • Must not be a client of ACCES, or a relative of an employee of ACCES
  • Must be between 18 and 30 years of age
  • Superior customer service skills (minimum of 1-year customer service experience preferred)
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Some experience in an administrative setting is an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, according to relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible.
  • Strong computer and digital skills – MS Office and troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Job Details:


  • Pay Rate: $17 per hour – 35 hours per week
  • Placement runs 8 weeks: July 4, 2023 - August 29, 2023
