Robert Half is currently sourcing for Bookkeepers to fill a role with a company located in the Niagara Region. If you succeed in working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision, then this could be the role for you.

What you get to do every single day

• Formulate monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
• File cash flow projections, as needed
• Process weekly payroll and post to the General ledger
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Recieveable
• Support with monthly accounting close
• Well-versed in credit card management and reconciliation
• Manage employee benefit plan, RRSPs and maintain attendance records
• Categorize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

Requirements

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience
• Accounts Payable (AP) experience
• Debits experience highly desired
• A least 5yrs of accounting experience
• Foundational knowledge in journal entries
• Deep understanding of Canadian Payroll
• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
• Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
• Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
• Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
• Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
• General familiarity with Sage Accounting Software
