Azure Engineers Jobs

Azure Engineers to perform the following task, as directed by the client. The Consultant’s responsibilities include:

1. VM Maintenance: 80% of the activities will be around maintenance of Azure VMs. This includes tasks such as

a. Monitoring and alerting using Azur Monitor

b. Patching using Azure Update Manager

c. Defining patch schedules

d. Ensuring proper reboot of services

e. Performing backups - many servers are in Azure Site Recovery (ASR)

f. Conducting quarterly ASR tests

g. Validating RPO and RTO states.

h. Monitoring Azure Advisor and Azure Defender for Cloud.

2. Mentoring Team: The remaining 20% of their time will be spent working with the team, mentoring, and teaching them how to effectively work with Azure.

a. conducting a cleanup process that includes

i.policies inconsistencies found across Client’s subscriptions and management groups.

ii.servers built without being assigned to specific availability zones.

b. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and leverage Azure DevOps to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments

c. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Client needs help with setting up app services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which will be managed by Azure Arc.

i.It is understood that the provided resources will not be experts with Oracle Cloud and will work under the guidance of the client.

ii.Client expects to monitor approximately 50 VMs in Oracle Cloud through Azure Arc.

d. Azure Kubernetes:

i.Deploy, administer, support, and maintain Kubernetes containers on Azure

i.Assist with monitoring and maintaining the platform, especially during updates and refreshes.

ii.Ensuring the proper functioning of containers, network profiling, and overall monitoring.

b. Azure Synapse

i.Monitoring support.

ii.Ensure that the pipelines are monitored and that the DBAs can seek assistance when needed.

1. Assistance may involve enhancements to the existing data pipeline, adding new data sources, changes to the target data model, data mapping, transformations, etc.
