Description:
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for:
• Testing of service and quality data feed and vehicle health report type features/applications and troubleshooting of customer field issues for these connected services.
• Maintain test plans based on defect tracking and new requirement specifications
o Creation of test cases, corner cases and perform the Failure Mode Effects Analysis
o Performance, ad hoc, functional, stability, user experience and regression testing of new and existing product enhancements which will be performed on vehicles, Bench Top Testers and during road trips and will cover Connected Services, Performance and User Experience tests.
o Defect creation, clarification, retesting, and verification producing clear, accurate and reproducible defect assessments from which a Developer Engineer can resolve defects
o Management of defect reports and tracking, communicating to appropriate teams and management
o Ecims Management
• The engineer shall write and modify test cases as needed for SQDF and VHR
o SQDF – is the collection of vehicle diagnostic data that is uploaded from the vehicle to the cloud o VHR – is the customer health report (email/web) created using the SQDF upload data
Requirements:
- Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% Additional Information BSEE. Manager may consider candidates with a BS/MS in Information Systems Technology Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Diagnostic knowledge is a plus Will be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
- Experience with CAN is required Experience with connected service is preferred.
- Candidates must have at least 1 year of work experience using CAN as this position is heavily involved in diagnostics Experience with SQDF and VHR Experience with cloud based applications is strongly preferred
- This is work experience and does not include internships/research projects/school projects, etc.
- BSEE from an ABET accredited university or equivalent is required Minimum of 12 months experience is required Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) required
