In order to keep up the momentum, Intelcom is looking for a special person who has some knowledge of our operations and most importantly, has the desire to be trained as an Automation Systems Expert. No experience in automation is required. Our future colleague will have the opportunity to join the dynamic team of our station in Anjou.

What will your day look like?

• Great communication with the operations team and support teams;
• Analyze the causes of packages rejected by the system and share solution ideas with the team to continually help improve system performance;
• During sorting, understand and respond to system alerts and common troubleshooting issues to minimize impact on operations;
• Opportunity to learn more about the computer/automation side of the system and the opportunity to participate in some testing to continually improve the automated system, depending on the individual's interest and knowledge.
• Perform some basic maintenance activities (e.g. removing some sensors, doing some visual inspections, etc.);
• Starting the automated sorter and shutting it down at the end of the sort. This involves things like database exchanges, and several validations with the system;

What is required to succeed?

• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently;
• Interest in computer systems and mechanics;
• Interest in learning;
• Sec 5 completed. Any other training related to the position, whether in Canada or in another country, will be considered;
• Basic knowledge of Intelcom sorting operations is a definite asset
• Results oriented and able to solve complex problems;
