Job Summary
The assistant head cashier assists the head cashier by ensuring the smooth running of the checkout process and customer service. The incumbent plans and carries out tasks, balances the cash drawers, manages and resolves any problems that may arise at the checkouts, and ensures compliance with occupational health and safety standards and procedures. In the absence of the head cashier, the assistant head cashier manages the checkout staff, keeps operations running smoothly, and resolves customer problems and complaints.

Required knowledge and training

• At least two to five years of cashiering experience
• Good written and spoken French

Working conditions

• Standing working environment
• Loads of up to 50 pounds to be lifted
• Salary range: $16.00 to $23.18/hr (based on experience and internal equity)
• Day, evening, and weekend schedule
