As a Design Verification Engineer at HPE, you will have the opportunity to be part of a world class team, designing High Performance Computing networking ASICs. In this role you will be responsible for all phases of pre-silicon design verification, including design verification methodology, test-plan development, testbench development, coverage closure, and sign off reviews.


Responsibilities


  • Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members to set an example of VLSI design and development innovation and excellence.
  • Follow and help define the teams design verification methodology.
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with VLSI technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
  • Write bus functional models that drive and monitor stimulus.
  • Drives VLSI innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the design organization.
  • Plans and implements block and integration level scoreboards and checkers to verify functional behavior.
  • Provide technical expertise and leads project teams of VLSI engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design verification.
  • Write and analyze functional coverage, providing input to block level milestones.
  • Provides VLSI-specific and technical expertise along with the overall architecture design and platform leadership to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
  • Triage regression failures and identify logic bugs, while driving bug closure.


Education And Experience Required


  • 6-10+ years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent


Knowledge And Skills


  • Expert level analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Expert level knowledge of OVM or UVM methodologies.
  • Expert level knowledge of a programming and scripting, hardware description language, electronic design automation (EDA), and/or FPGA tools.
  • Expert level knowledge of designing VLSI components, integrated circuitry, architectures and algorithms into VLSI solutions.
  • Ability to lead small teams in a distributed team environment.
  • Experience in executive written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $122,700.00 - $282,500.00
