Position: In House Apparel / Gear Designer
Level Six is a globally recognized water sports brand based in beautiful Ottawa, Ontario. The Position:
We are looking for a full-time in-house apparel designer to manage and grow the Level Six apparel and gear line. You will be working with the rest of the design team to innovate and continue to push the forward-thinking line-up that Level Six has been known for.
Responsibilities:
·Analysing trends in fabrics and apparel to create future collections.
·Develop CAD drawings and Technical Garment Packages
·Work with suppliers overseeing product sampling and proof of concepts.
·Attendance at relevant major trade shows and client line previews
·Assist in production and will report directly to company owner and founder.
·Manage Lab Dips, trims, and Pattern Strike offs.
Requirements:
·Creative, ambitious, self-motivated and target oriented.
·Strong prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
·Strong leadership and communication skills.
·Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related position.
·Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design
·Intermediate knowledge of PLM Software
Assets
·Bilingual French/English.
·Intermediate to advanced skills in photography and filming.
·Extensive knowledge of the outdoor activewear and paddling / surf industry
·Strong understanding of women’s swimwear and design
